IROW hosts several races and events that offers all rowers the opportunity to gather together at a variety of friendly and non threatening locations to row and form lasting friendships.

The Isle of Shoals Race in July and Ernestine Bayer Race on the Charles in October are special events that members look forward to each year. The organization meets biannually for a weekend of fun, competition and rowing clinics. The 2007 Nationals were held in Craftsbury, VT at the world famous rowing camp.
